Summertime in Utah calls for a professionally guided ATV / 4 Wheeler adventure with Intermountain Guide Service at Snowbird.Come discover Utahs Wasatch Mountains on a ATV / 4 Wheeler. During your ATV / 4 wheeler ride you will enjoy parts of Utah that hold beautiful scenery and are rarely visited and only 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.ATV tours begin at the Activities/Customer Service Center where clients check-in, sign paperwork and pay for their trip. Your ATV ride begins and ends with a ride on Snowbirds aerial tram. Snowbirds tram will take you from Snowbirds base elevation of 8,000 ft. to the top of Hidden Peak, elevation 11,000 ft. After taking in the beautiful views from Hidden Peak clients will then meet their guide who will assist them in fitting a helmet and making sure they are ready for their ride. You will be assigned an ATV, (2006 Polaris 330 Magnum 4X4 ATV) and given a 5-10 minute orientation on machine operation, riding techniques, and trail safety. Your guide leads the trail ride down into mineral basin where you will be surrounded by High Alpine vistas, waterfalls, wildflowers and beautiful forest. As you drop down into Mineral Basin you'll lose between 1500 to 2500 feet in elevation. Guides are knowledgeable about the areas wildlife, geology, history and wildflowers. They are always happy to share their experience. There will be time to stop along the trail for short breaks and photo opportunities. A bottle of water and a small snack are also provided on every trip. During the ride, clients of all abilities will have a chance to experience miles of trails that range from beginning to advanced. Your ride will last approximately two hours and ends back on Hidden Peak. You will then be escorted back to the aerial tram where you are taken back to the base and your trip is concluded, always having a great time and ending with a big smile! Our guide's goal is to make the trip safe and enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities (most children under the age of 4 who are not used to mountain conditions or activities may not be suited for this adventure).
